A horse in Nashville now has a special connection to Omaha.
Using WoodmenLife funding, the Metro Nashville Police Department bought a horse and named it Orozco, after Kerrie Orozco, the Omaha police officer who was killed in the line of duty in 2015.
In total, WoodmenLife donated $12,000 to the MNPD for new horses. WoodmenLife is currently holding its national convention in Nashville.
