According to a release from the Nebraska Department of Transportation, there were 21 people killed in traffic accidents in June.
The fatalities were spread across 18 crashes and included 15 vehicle occupants, 12 of which were not wearing seatbelts.
In total, there have been 99 traffic fatalities between January and June of 2017, which is the lowest total at this point in the year in the last five years.
In June of 2016, 29 people died in traffic accidents.
