OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska Humane Society is holding an adoption event this Sunday.

The first 120 people who bring a donation of soft treats, Vienna sausages, pet toys, potty pads, litter, or cash will get a free coffee drink from Joe on the Go Coffee.

Attendees will be able to meet adoptable dogs on the meadow and see them in a less stressful environment, while being able to check out cats and kittens in the Kitty Kamper. There will be kids games should you bring your children along.

All adult dog adoptions will be $45, kittens will be $50 and two for one - all adult cats are fee-waived all day long.

The Humane Society asks to leave your dog at home UNLESS you are trying to see if an adoptable dog is a good match for your furry friends.

The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the NHS adoption center and its adjoining meadow.
