OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska Humane Society is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for a $14 million expansion Thursday night.
The project will renovate the shelter where animals are waiting to meet their forever families. The upgrades will honor the shelter's former CEO Judy Varner.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and ther shelter will officially break ground on the project in December.
