Nebraska Humane Society reduces pet adoption fees

Officials with the Nebraska Humane Society announced they will be offering reduced adoptions for both cats and dogs due to overcrowding in the shelter. 

From Wednesday through Friday, The adoptions will start at noon and end at 6:30 p.m.

Officials say NHS is getting crowded and they are hoping to find great homes for the pets.

The adoption fees follows:

Dog Adoption Fees

  • Dogs 1 year and old will be $50 off
  • Dogs 8 years and older will be $50

Cat Adoption Fees

  • Cats 1 year and older will be FREE
  • Cats 6 months to 11 months will be $50
  • Kittens younger than 6 months will be $100All cats/kittens will be two for the price of one. 

Officials say the pets are all spayed and neutered, micro shipped and have their first shots.
