OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Some area kids got a first-hand look at what Omaha's men and women in blue do everyday.
Omaha police showed off their equipment and got the chance to meet with pediatric patients from Nebraska Medicine as part of National Police Week.
Parents say the event gave their kids a good chance to meet police and a nice break from their medical treatments.
"It's nice when they can all get together and enjoy things like this, they got all their own battles going on but when something like this happens, they're all battling together," Jamie Sund said.
Many of the officers there on Thursday donated their time, and one sergeant even brought his pony.
