OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Nebraska Medicine announced on Tuesday night that it will resume normal clinical activity beginning on Wednesday.

Nebraska Medicine's operations were recently impacted after a cyber attack.

A spokesperson said "significant progress" was made in restoring many key systems.

All appointments, procedures and surgeries, including those that are elective and non-urgent in nature, will proceed as planned.

"We apologize to our patients who were inconvenienced by this security incident and greatly appreciate the flexibility of those patients whose appointments were postponed," Nebraska Medicine said in a statement.

Nebraska Medicine said they continue to investigate the nature of the incident and will take steps to enhance their cybersecurity infrastructure.
