Nebraska ranked as top state for young families

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraska has been ranked as the top state for young families, according to a new study by LendingTree.

The key findings of the study are the Northeast scores high for young families, Florida is a better place for retirees, and child care is very expensive, costing anywhere up to more than $20,000 depending where you live.

Iowa is ranked in a tie for second with New Hampshire behind Nebraska, and northeast states such as New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts are all in the top ten. Florida and Arizona were rated as the two worst states for young families. New Jersey, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Kentucky round out the top 10.
