A Nemaha County 3-year-old has died an an apparent drowning in a pond near his home.
Nemaha County Sheriff's deputies and medics were called to a rural Auburn home just before 1 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, responders found people there already had begun performing CPR on the boy, who has been identified as Wayne Brown. The boy was taken to Nemaha County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
