A new development is getting ready to open its doors on its first tenants and the Atlas Development in the Old Creighton University Medical Center may affect traffic.

The complex has more than 700 units as well as a handful of businesses moving into the mixed-use building, breathing new life and bringing a new look to the area West of the 75 and the Gerald Ford Expressway.

Todd Heistand of NuStyle Development said they considered how the building would fit into the larger picture in the area and added there is a lot of parking for the general public.

The first group of tenants move in on June 2 and the pedestrian bridge connecting Atlas to the Creighton campus is open June 1.
