OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraska Veterans could soon pay less in state taxes on their retirement benefits.
State lawmakers will hold a hearing today on a bill that would exempt half of their benefits from being taxed.
Governor Pete Ricketts and the leaders of several state Veterans groups plan to speak during today's hearing.
If approved, the bill would affect more than 13-thousand Nebraskans.
