The non-emergency phone line for the Council Bluffs Police Department was temporarily down Thursday morning.
The issue with the phone line has been resolved.
Earlier, the city said residents could still make emergency 911 calls, but should dial a different number for non-urgent matters: 712-328-4918.
"We are currently working to get them operating again. 911 emergency calls are not affected by this outage," a spokesperson for Council Bluffs said in a statement released around 9 a.m.
