FREMONT, Neb. (KMTV) - Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested a North Carolina woman after they say she drove her car into a patrol unit during a prescription fraud investigation.

A trooper responded to the Walgreen's at East 23rd and Lincoln Avenue in Fremont around 2:20 p.m. Saturday after getting a report of prescription fraud in progress.

Authorities say 25-year-old Brandi Bolden of Asheville, North Carolina was in the drive-thru lane of the pharmacy and the responding trooper parked his unit right in front of her car.

When the trooper left his unit and attempted to make contact with Bolden, authorities say she drove her car in reverse and struck the vehicle behind hers. She then allegedly drove forward and hit the trooper's car. According to authorities, she then again drove in reverse, striking the building, before trying to drive between the building and cruiser.

In doing so, authorities say Bolden struck the building again, disabling her car. At that point, the trooper was able to take Bolden into custody.

Bolden was arrested for prescription fraud, assault on an officer using a motor vehicle, flight to avoid arrest, and criminal investigation. She was sent to the Dodge County Jail.

Nobody was injured during the incident. Fremont Police are assisting in the investigation.
