NSP find cocaine & foam-concealed marijuana during I-80 stop

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KMTV) — Last Sunday, the Nebraska State Patrol arrested a California man after a stop, search and seizure on Interstate 80.

The incident occurred near Brady after a trooper observed a Nissan Rogue speeding near mile marker 200. During the stop, Nebraska State Patrol says the trooper observed "indicators of criminal activity."

A search revealed "2.2 pounds of cocaine hidden under the spare tire and 1.5 pounds of marijuana concealed in a box filled with spray foam."

The driver, 44-year-old Arnold Rodriguez of Modesto, California was arrested for "possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and no drug tax stamp."

Rodriguez was lodged in Lincoln County Jail.
