BLAIR, Neb. (KMTV) — The Blair Police Department says they were called to the home near 11th & Adams St. at about 9:50pm Wednesday.
They say when officers entered the home they were confronted by a man with a rifle. During the confrontation the man, Leslie Flynn Jr., 39, was shot. He was taken to the hospital in Blair where he later died.
The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating.
“Since I know the family. They were a big family. It’s sad,” said Judy Clark, a Blair resident. “I really don’t know whether it was a domestic thing or whether it was, I really have no idea.”
Three Blair Police Officers have been put on administrative leave during the investigation.
People who knew Flynn said he lived at the house with his girlfriend and their kids. His brother told Senior Reporter Jake Wasikowski that he wants to know who shot his brother.
KMTV contacted the Blair Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol multiple times asking them to tell us the details of the confrontation, but no calls were returned Thursday and that information wasn't released.
