YORK, Neb. (KMTV) — Two children missing out of Michigan have been located near York, says the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP).

According to a release from NSP, the two "potentially endangered" children were found at a gas station near York along with their parents at about 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.

NSP says the children have been placed with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and will be returned to the proper authorities in Michigan. Their mother, 37-year-old Rebecca Dunkelberger, of Battle Creek, Mighican, was arrested for outstanding warrants. Their father Dennis Dunkelberger was released.

NSP says the Battle Creek Police Department, Michigan State Police, Colorado Bureau of Investigations, Department of Health and Human Services, York County Sheriff’s Office were all part of the effort to find the children.
