OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) says two men from California were arrested after discovering 170 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle.

The Wednesday stop took place on Interstate 80 near Kearney after a trooper observed the pair making an unsafe pass of a semi-truck near mile marker 268.

After witnessing "clandestine activity" during the stop, the trooper performed a search and found 176 pounds of marijuana in vacuum-sealed bags inside suitcases in the vehicle.

The driver, 39-year-old Rolando Flores, and passenger, 35-year-old William Robles, were both arrested for possession of marijuana of more than one pound with intent to deliver.

Both were lodged at the Buffalo County Jail.
