This morning, Omaha Police detective Ryan Templeton was named Officer of the Year. He was nominated alongside 9 others.
Templeton was honored for cracking an ATM theft ring that was operating in Nebraska and several other states. His work led to the indictments of 11 people on criminal conspiracy and bank robbery charges.
Police Chief Todd Schmaderer recognized all the nominees at the Crime Stoppers Officer of the Year luncheon thanking them for their service.
