Lincoln Police have released the names of two officers involved in a deadly shooting on Sunday.
The officers are Sgt. Mario Robinson, a 22 year veteran of the department, and Officer Josh Atkinson, an 8 year veteran of the force. The officers confronted 22 year old Germichael Kennedy about a deadly shooting earlier in the day. Kennedy was shot to death after he pointed a gun at them.
Kennedy was the suspect in the shooting death of 20 year old Marlene Rashidi. Rashidi and 23 year old Dezarae Mann were shot while sitting in separate cars around 3 Sunday morning.
Both officer are on paid administrative leave while the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office investigates.
