LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services is asking for help locating an inmate that was found to be missing on Friday morning.

They say 20-year-old Gabriel Magana-Cordova was discovered missing after performing a count at the Community Corrections Center-Lincoln (CCC-L). The CCC-L is one of two facilities operated by the Department of Corrections and has less-restrictive conditions. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.

They say Magana-Cordova began serving a 1.5 year sentence for charges related to burglary, domestic assault, and violation of a protection order on November 6, 2019.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call law enforcement.
