Officials are recommending swimmers and boaters use life jackets after multiple drowning incidents since Memorial Day.

The body of a 28-year-old man was recovered Sunday night at Pawnee Lake west of Lincoln, after a large floating water craft was blown over in the wind.

The American Red Cross has swimming safety tips, including never swim alone.

The State of Nebraska also requires anyone 13 years old or younger to wear a life jacket while on a boat.
