Our partners at the Omaha World-Herlad say the Pentagon is giving more than $1 billion to build a new STRATCOM headquarters at the base.
That $1 billion is in addition to the $100 million runway repair project announce earlier this month.
Military experts say the projects could provide Offutt security when the Senate looks at closing bases starting in 2019.
