The Omaha City Council is expected to vote on a number of projects for unimproved streets around the city Tuesday night.

The city assessed streets including Poppleton Avenue from 78th to 80th Street along with a stretch of 78th Street. Others include 85th and 86th Street near Pacific. This comes after Mayor Jean Stothert had proposed a cost-sharing policy in which residents would pay 50 percent and the city would pick up the other half of the cost.

Last year, Stothert vetoed the Council's amended plan, saying it complicated the process. The council didn't override it, leaving residents on the hook to fix their own streets.
