OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The popularity of having a place where you can get a drink and play with your dog seems to be growing in Omaha.

Currently there is one dog-friendly establishment open called Barks N Brews in Millard, but a second place looks to becoming to the Little Bohemia neighborhood this spring.

According to a social media post, Omaha Dog Bar will be joining the neighborhood in the near future.

According to the Facebook page, they will be located at:

As to what the the bar will offer patrons, they say:

Omaha Dog Bar will be a unique membership-based community for dogs and their humans in Little Bohemia. It will combine a professionally maintained indoor/outdoor bark park, with a bar and eatery where owners can work or socialize while their pups run, jump and play in a safe, monitored and fun environment. All Pupstomers must be over 4 months old, have their vaccinations and be spayed or neutered.

We are excited to provide a place for the community to come together and enjoy a cold drink in the company of great friends, new and old, two-legged and four legged! For us, it’s all about socialization. Dogs need it, and so do humans for that matter. It encourages healthy interaction and much-needed exercise. In order to provide a safe and fun environment for everyone to enjoy, Omaha Dog Bar will be a 21+ establishment. We will also require a membership or day pass contract in which the owner accepts all liability for their dog, as well as confirms their dog is social and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Membership fees go directly back to the bark park and bar to help keep it clean and pristine.

"We want your relationship with your dog to be the best it can be and are dedicated to building a space and community for exactly that!
