OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Three residents who live in apartments above a funeral home near 24th and J St. were displaced after a fire early Saturday, according to the Omaha Fire Department.

Around 12:10 a.m., fire crews responded to Good Shepherd Funeral Home.

Two residents in an apartment above the funeral home had smoke coming into their residences, according to OFD.

Because of the size and configuration of the building, it was difficult for crews to locate the fire and a second alarm was declared.

The fire was eventually located and extinguished.

OFD estimates an $80,000 loss to the structure of the building.
