A man was hospitalized after being hit by gunfire after a disturbance at the 2300 block of North 24th Street early Sunday morning.
Officers arrived to the scene around 1:30 a.m. to find 36-year-old Julius Shields with a gunshot wound. Shields told law enforcement that two other people were involved in a disturbance and one person fired off a gun.
Shields was taken to CHI Creighton University Medical Center.
