Omaha man who received FedEx packages of meth sentenced

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Yesterday, Chief United States District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Jose Guzman-Ramirez to a 120 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

He was caught when a local division of the DEA and the Douglas County Sheriff's Officers intercepted several packages of meth going to Guzman-Ramirez and another defendant and decided to make the delivery themselves.

In addition to drugs, investigators also discovered and seized $11,600. Guzman-Ramirez agreed to an order of removal by U.S. immigration after serving his sentence.
