Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing teenager, though they say she is not believed to be in danger.

The Omaha Police Department is investigating after 13-year-old Elizabeth Hetrick was reported missing Tuesday evening.

They say she wasn’t at school Wednesday, but foul play is not suspected in the investigation.

She was last seen around 7:20 p.m. taking the garbage out at her home near 25th Avenue and Marcy Street.

She is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 90 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.  She was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone able to help locate her is asked to call the Omaha Police Department Special Victims Unit at (402) 444-5636 or 911.
