OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A Council Bluffs man was injured on Tuesday after his car left the roadway and went down an embankment.
Police say 31-year-old Cody Malik was traveling south on Highway 75 when he turned onto the North 30th Street exit. That's when his vehicle left the roadway, entered a grasssy median, went down an embankment, vaulted twice and came to rest on Interstate 480.
Police say Malik was the lone occupant of the vehicle. He was transported to Nebraska Medicine by medics for treatment due to broken ribs.
The North 30th Street exits for Highway 75 and Interstate 480 were both closed until 10:30 p.m. while crews worked at the scene.
Police say charges are pending, including a DUI.
