Omaha Police investigating a string of Tuesday incidents

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department is investigating a string of incidents that happened Tuesday.

Officers were first called to the Dominos Pizza at 2728 St. Mary's Plaza around 1:00 a.m. on a report of an attempted robbery. An employee told authorities that he was taking a break when he was confronted by a male in a hooded sweatshirt. The suspect demanded money and then ran from the property without getting any property.

Two hours later, officers responded to a call at the Kwik Shop at 5929 North 72nd Street on another robbery call. The employee said two males entered the store and one of them had a handgun. The suspects took money, cigarettes, and alcohol before fleeing to the southeast.

Authorities responded to a shooting call near 4366 Lafayette Avenue. On arrival, one person was injured from a gunshot wound. 37-year-old Terra Reynolds. She told officers she was shot around 11:00 a.m. She sustained a minor injury, and 23-year-old Travis Bennet was arrested in connection and for other gun charges earlier in the week.

Finally, Omaha Police were dispatched to the area of 3952 North 38th Street for a cutting around 7:30 p.m. Officers spoke with 29-year-old Dontae Ray who said he was involved in a disturbance with a woman, and she slashed his tires then stabbed him. The suspect fled the scene and has not been located.

All investigations are ongoing.
