OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police are investigating the homicide of a woman early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to 711 North 108th Court around 4:25 a.m. and found a female inside a vehicle on arrival. She was declared dead on the scene by OFD medics. She has been identified as 41-year-old Andrea Georgeson.

The vehicle was found in the parking lot of Midlands Testing Services Inc. which does drug and alcohol testing. People who work near-by say the car was running, with the lights on, and the door open.

Georgeson's family says she lived in Omaha and just started a new job.

"On behalf of the Georgeson family I'd just like to say that we know just about as much as anybody else does that my sister Andrea was found in her car deceased this morning," said Alan Georgeson, Andrea's brother. "We just ask that everybody please respect our privacy and that your thoughts are prayers are welcome."

The investigation is ongoing, and we will bring you more information as we receive it. Anyone with information is urged to contact the OPD Homicide Unit at 402-444-5656 or Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.

OPD says tips leading to an arrest in homicide cases are eligible for a $25,000 reward.
