Omaha Police respond to two shootings Sunday morning

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Police responded to two separate shooting incidents Sunday morning.

The first occurred at 2:08 a.m. after three victims, identified as 20-year-old Tyshae Lewis, 23-year-old James Baker and 28-year-old Javon Lewis told officers they were sitting in a vehicle in a driveway when an unknown male got out of a white Ford Taurus and fired numerous shots at them. This incident happened at 5530 North 65th St.

The vehicle was struck but no victims were injured. The investigation is ongoing.

A second shooting occurred Sunday morning at 9:14 a.m. near 20th and Clark St. The victim, 31-year-old Antonio Sargent, was sent to CUMC-University Campus with a non-life threatening injury. Sargent was then transferred to CUMC-Bergan for treatment.
