Tuesday night, area police officers will meet with the community for National Night Out.
Neighborhood gatherings will be taking place with the hope of promoting positive partnerships between law enforcement and the people they serve.
There will be food, music and kids games at the Metropolitan Community Church at Omaha's event. It is from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Bellevue Police will also be hosting an event, theirs will begin at 6 p.m. at Everett Park.
