Omaha World-Herald Calendar Editor Kate Malott shares three things to do in Omaha this weekend.

Celebrate at the River
When: Friday
Where: Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park

The annual Celebrate Council Bluffs festival kicks-off  with classic rock cover band Taxi Driver playing all your favorites from 7 to 10:30 p.m. There will be food and a beer garden. Admission is free.

Salute Our Military and First Responders Game
When: Saturday
Where: TD Ameritrade Park

The game recognizes fallen military members during a free Creighton University baseball game at TD Ameritrade Park. The game starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be bagpipers, color guard and a fighter aircraft flyover prior to the game. Taps will be played and names of the fallen will appear on stadium screens, followed by fireworks. Redeem ticket vouchers 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at the CenturyLink Center.

Renaissance Festival of Nebraska
When: Saturday and Sunday
Where: Bellevue Berry Farm.

Try giant turkey legs, funnel cakes and homemade root beer over two weekends at the medieval-themed festival at Bellevue Berry Farm, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. See the equestrian jousting programs, a royal court, and stage entertainment. There will be a merchant market and food.
