Fourteen-year-old Walt Snodgrass recently shared a stage with A-listers like Jamie Foxx, Marisa Tomei, Quincy Jones, Eva Longoria and more. They raised millions of dollars for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation

The GDSF Fashion Show was called, "Be Beautiful, Be Yourself." It took place in Denver earlier this month and featured a couple dozen models who have Down syndrome. Three of the models are from the Omaha area. You can read the models' bios, here

They had to apply for the honor and were selected by the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

Walt plays the drums in the Westside Middle School band. His mom, Denise, said it was emotional and inspiring to see Walt walk down the catwalk.

"When I was watching all the models walk down, and they're all reading off their bios and the things they're able to do, and the things they're doing in their community — the ceiling is endless, he could do anything," she said.

The Global Down Syndrome Foundation works to improve the lives of people with Down Syndrome through research, medical care, education and advocacy. You can read more about its mission, here.
