One dead after motorcycle crash on Highway 6

A 51-year-old man from Greenwood died Sunday after his motorcycle collided nearly head-on with a Ford Excursion east of Waverly on Highway 6. 

According to a release from the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, Ronald Corum Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, 44-year-old Mark Leavitt, was treated for minor injuries. There were six total passengers in Leavitt's car and one other person suffered minor injuries, the other four were uninjured. 

A preliminary investigation revealed Corum was riding his motorcycle in the oncoming lane. He was wearing a helmet.
