OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Police say icy roads were a contributing factor in a crash Saturday night that left one man with serious injuries.
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of S 168th St and Washington St around 10:53 p.m. for a personal injury crash involving two vehicles.
The investigation revealed that a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 20-year-old Devon Kurmel lost control, crossing the center line into the southbound traffic lane.
The vehicle was then struck by a southbound 2005 Grand Cherokee, driven by 21-year-old Jordan Weber.
Kurmel was transported to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries to his abdomen and head.
The investigation is on-going.
