Omaha Police said Thursday that they have arrested three people involved in Wednesday's carjacking in the 3400 block of  N. 106th Plaza.

According to OPD, three people were taken into custody at around 10:00am. These suspects were accused of stealing a 2014 gray Nissan from the day before.

Officials added they were spotted near 62nd and Fowler, crashed near 80th and Boyd, and taken into custody after a foot pursuit near 82nd and Grand.

OPD officials said they received a Crime Stoppers tip, which led them to the area of 61st and Fowler. Detectives located the gray 2014 Nissan Altima taken during the carjacking. Uniform Patrol Officers attempted to stop the vehicle; however the vehicle fled and a pursuit was declared.

The suspect vehicle lost control and struck a pole in the area of Keystone Drive and Boyd Street.

Three black males fled from the vehicle on foot. After a short foot chase and search of the area, Officers were able to locate and arrest all three suspects.

A BB-gun style handgun was recovered from the vehicle.

On Wednesday, OPD officers said one of the suspects approached the female victim and held a gun and demanded her car keys.

Authorities believe these suspects were also involved in similar robbery incidents on South 95th Plaza and Park Drive from last week.
