OPD: Group of men using dating apps to commit robberies

The Omaha Police Department is currently investigating six robberies and one attempted robbery carried out by the same group. 

Police say a group of 2-3 men are using the dating apps Plenty of Fish and Tinder to pose as females, set up dates and then immediately rob the other party when they show up. 

All of the robberies have taken place in the area of Miller Park and Florence and the group of men are armed. 

Anyone with information about these person robberies or any other unsolved robbery is requested to call the Omaha Police Department Robbery Unit at 402-444-4619 or to report tips anonymously call 402-444-STOP.  A tip for a person robbery is eligible for up to $1,000.00
