OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department is investigating a pair of Sunday evening incidents.
One person was shot near 42nd and Grand Streets around 10:30 p.m. 43-year-old Anthony Dan was transported to the Nebraska Medical Center after receiving a non life-threatening injury. Officers say Dan told them he was in the area when he refused to give a juvenile a ride home. The juvenile then discharged a firearm and injured Dan.
About two and a half hours earlier around 8:00 p.m., police were called to the Advance Auto Parts on 84th and West Center Road for a report of a robbery. Employees at the store told officers that two male suspects entered the store wearing masks and forced the workers into the restroom at gunpoint. The suspects took cash and merchandise and left in an unknown direction.
Both investigations are ongoing, and anybody with information is asked to call Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP (7867.)
