OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department is investigating a series of carjackings where the victims were female. They are asking for your help in finding two stolen vehicles and are urging drivers to be aware of their surroundings when parking.

Police say that each of the three incidents happened when women were exiting their vehicles and were within five days of each other.

The vehicles they are on the lookout for are described as:

  • A white 2018 four-door Kia Optima with Colorado plate 335QHN
  • A silver 2005 Honda Pilot with Nebraska plate VNE062

Police want to remind people to:

  • Be aware of their surroundings
  • Park your vehicle in well-lit, populated areas
  • If you suspect something suspicious, do not get out of your car. Move to a different location and call 911 immediately

Police say the carjackings are being investigated as separate cases at this time.

5/21/19 - Police say the Kia was recovered last week and that they are still searching for the silver 2005 Honda Pilot with Nebraska plate VNE062
