Starting at 3 p.m. Tuesday, OPPD will begin a Cool Smart. Event participants will have their air conditioners and heat pumps run in 15-minute intervals for 2.5 hours between 3 and 7 p.m.
The goal is to reduce OPPD's peak demand.
There are 41,500 Cool Smart participants.
