The Omaha Public Schools board has new leadership and this time, the vote only took about 10 minutes and six rounds of voting. Last year, the voting went more than 125 rounds.

Marque Snow was named the president of the board and Lacey Merica was named the vice president. Additionally, OPS named Ricky Smith,  who works in admissions at UNO, to the board over two other qualified candidates.
