OPS to hold Gifford Park Elementary dedication ceremony

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Staff, students, parents, OPS Superintendent Cheryl Logan and others will be in attendance Tuesday evening at the new Gifford Park Elementary School for a dedication ceremony.

The ceremony is from 5-6 p.m., followed by student-led tours of the building and an open house from 6-7 p.m. Gifford Park Elementary just opened its doors this school year.

The building is two stories and includes 16 classrooms, two special education rooms, a STEM classroom, string and music rooms, a gym, kitchen, among other areas. The estimated projected cost of the school was $18 million, and capacity of the school is 450 students.

OPS held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new high school near 60th and L last Friday.
