Police say alcohol, speed, and a lack of seat belts were all factors in an overnight crash that sent two people to the hospital.
The scene shut down part of the JFK for more than two hours. Crews were called to Highway 75 near Q Street before midnight.
Bellevue officers helped Omaha Police by shutting off Northbound traffice at Chandler Road. Police cited the drive - 23-year-old Jose Miguel Garcia - for DUI. They say he suffered a severe back injury.
Doctors treated his passenger for minor injuries.
