OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District wants to assure people that current flooding along the Platte River is normal for this time of year.
They say the majority of area rivers are open, free of ice and the ice jams occurring do not indicate a serious threat, like last year.
They do say the district is continuing to constantly monitor conditions along with partners such as the National Weather Service and other emergency organizations.
