Council Bluffs Police say a pedestrian who was hit by a car Tuesday morning has died from his injuries.
Police say 65 year old Clifford Guild of Council Bluffs died overnight. Guild was hit by a vehicle driven by 25 year old Jessica Sawyer at 38th and Avenue G around 8:30 Tuesday morning. When officers arrived, Guild was unresponsive and did not have a pulse. He was taken to CHI Creighton where he later died.
Police say for an unknown reason, Guild crossed the street in front of Sawyer's vehicle. The accident remains under investigation.
