A pedestrian was hit by a car after crossing a road without a marked crosswalk Friday.
Police responded to the incident at 108th and Fort and found that a man had been crossing the street when he was hit by a driver.
The man was taken to NE Medicine with serious injuries including broken ribs and bleeding in the brain.
Police cited the pedestrian for "pedestrian in the roadway."
Speed and alcohol were not factors in the accident.
