OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Saturday evening, a 62-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near N 60th and Pinkney St and later died at Nebraska Medicine from his injuries.
Officers were dispatched to the area at 5:56 p.m. where investigation revealed a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by William Minturn, 58, was southbound on N 60th St when a pedestrian came into the roadway, crossing from west to east.
The pedestrian, 62-year-old Cecil Redden, was not in a marked crosswalk.
Redden was struck by the Chevrolet and transported to Nebraska Medicine where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say alcohol and speed aren't considered factors.
