OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — If you have several unpaid parking tickets, now might be a good time to take care of them. Next month, your vehicle could be immobilized with a "barnacle" if you don't.
According to Park Omaha, vehicles that have accrued "excessive parking violations" will not be immobilized in June but things will change in July.
They say the city will begin to use the traditional boot wheel clamp less as barnacles hit the streets.
There will also be changes to the fine cost structure based on the severity of the citation and how quickly they are paid.
